Protect yourself from recruitment fraud

Important fraud warning

Be cautious of anyone who uses the KEANA name, logo, employee identity or vacancy information without authorization. A logo, visiting card, WhatsApp profile or document alone does not prove that a person is authorized by KEANA.

Common warning signs

Fake recruiter or job offer

Be cautious of guaranteed-job claims, pressure to act immediately, unverifiable employer details, unofficial email addresses, or requests to communicate only through a personal account.

Payment fraud

Do not make a payment merely because someone claims to represent KEANA. Verify the purpose, recipient, amount and supporting documentation through an official KEANA channel before paying.

Fake visa or documents

Do not rely only on screenshots, edited PDFs, unofficial approval messages or promises of guaranteed visa results. Visa and immigration decisions are made by the relevant authorities.

Social-media impersonation

Fraudsters may copy company names, logos, photographs or vacancy posts. Independently verify any social-media account or message before sharing personal information.

  3. Read documents carefully before signing or paying.
  4. Keep copies of receipts, agreements and important communications.

If you suspect fraud

Do not send further money, documents, passwords or one-time codes. Preserve screenshots, phone numbers, email addresses, payment details and messages, then report the matter to KEANA. Where appropriate, you should also consider reporting suspected fraud to the relevant bank, platform or law-enforcement/cybercrime authority.
